Ukraine has
agreed to a 30-day ceasefire proposed by the United States, following extensive negotiations between U.S. and Ukrainian officials in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. As part of this agreement, Washington will resume military aid and intelligence sharing with Ukraine, which had previously been paused. The ceasefire includes a complete halt to missile, drone, and bomb attacks across the front lines and in the Black Sea region. However, the deal is contingent on Russia's acceptance, and the U.S. has stated that Moscow must also abide by it

.

Meanwhile, Russia launched intense airstrikes on Ukraine in response to Monday’s large-scale Ukrainian drone attack, where nearly 300 drones targeted Russian territory, including Moscow. While Ukraine claims these strikes caused significant damage, Russian officials report only one casualty. In retaliation, Russia has conducted a series of airstrikes on Ukraine, causing widespread destruction

.

Former U.S. President Donald Trump also weighed in on the ceasefire negotiations, suggesting that a permanent and full ceasefire could be achieved in the coming days. His administration has been engaging with Russian officials, including a planned visit by Trump’s envoy to Moscow this week for further talks. European Union and the United Kingdom have welcomed the ceasefire agreement, while Ukraine has emphasized the importance of humanitarian efforts, including prisoner exchanges and the return of displaced Ukrainian children

.

So far, Russia has not officially responded to the ceasefire proposal, but discussions between U.S. and Russian diplomats are ongoing
